Mere months after the Finance Minister’s second largest ever budget was approved by the National Assembly, the Minister has approached the House to request that Parliament approve the release of more money.The Minister on Thursday last tabled the First Schedule of Supplementary Provision on the current and Capital Estimates totaling $247.4 million for the period from July 16 to December 31 this year.He requested that the supplementary be considered on the next occasion that Parliament meets.The monies being asked for under current estimates include funds for the Amerindian Affairs Ministry for items such as rental of buildings,Cheap Wholesale NFL Jerseys, print and non print materials,Cheap NHL Jerseys China, fuel and lubricants,Wholesale China Jerseys, vehicles spares and services,China NFL Jerseys, other transport travel and postage, electricity charges,Cheap Jerseys Supply, training (including Scholarships) and another item line named other.As it relates to the rental of buildings, no money was voted for in the budget and the Finance Minister is seeking $2.5M on their behalf.Under the timeline, ‘other’ $900,000 was initially provided but another $4.1M is being sought.Under the Ministry of Health, in addition to the $7.3M voted for the maintenance of buildings,China Jerseys NFL, an additional $30M is being requested and it is said to be used for the refurbishing of offices, electrical installation and plumbing to existing Buildings to House staff of Ministry of Health that formerly occupied the building that was destroyed by fire.Under the Agency, Guyana Defence Force Defence Headquarters, under the description of ‘other’ an initial $350,000 was voted and another $115M is now being sought to meet expenditure for joint operations.Under capital estimates a total of $93.9M is being sought for the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Amerindian Affairs and Education.While the Minister did not allude to it, there was a second supplementary provision paper for the period ending December 3, this that was circulated in the House this time requesting$2.5B.Out of this the Finance Ministry is requesting some $473M to go to the Guyana Sugar Corporation.This would be in addition to the more that $1.8B that has already been provided to GuySuCo for additional inflows.The Ministry of Agriculture is set to receive $125M which will be going to the hydrometeorology and provided for additional inflows.The Ministry of Public Works and Communication is also set to receive more than $700M for various projects targeting sea defenses, roads and government buildings.The Ministry of Education under this second supplementary paper will receive an additional $573M in addition to the $497.7M it had already received for the BEAMS programme.The Ministry of Housing is slated to receive $400M as is expected, given that President Bharrat Jagdeo had earlier in the year announced the Low Housing programme revolving fund and the money has been identified for this purpose.The Ministry of Health is slated to receive more than $200M for its HIV/AIDS and nutrition programmes.
